Frequently Asked Questions

We got you covered! Please call or reach us at kb@carolinaaviation.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our office is open seven days/week. Mondays-Sundays 9:00 am – 6:00 pm; Saturdays & Sundays 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
All flights are scheduled through dispatch or our MyFBO.com scheduling system outside office hours.

Intro Flight is a short flight to see if you like the flying experience. An instructor takes you up and lets you fly the airplane, where he explains how to do a basic control and the outcome. It is meant to be a fun experience! To schedule an Intro flight, call to book your date and time. If you want to take someone with you, it is possible depending upon the aircraft's weight limitations. Let us know what you want to do, and we can help you figure out the best option.

Enrollment is easy. You can start the process from your home by contacting us and then we can email all the required material. If you are in the area and want to stop by, you need to bring proper identification (driver's license or other government-issued photo ID) and proof of citizenship (passport or birth certificate). When you arrive at the office, the front desk customer service representative will have you fill out some paperwork to put you into our online system. Afterward, it is just a matter of getting your ground school kit so you can begin your home online training program. Once you complete all your paperwork, we can set you up with an instructor who will guide you through the rest of the program.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept the G.I. Bill. We are a Part-61 certified flight school, and the VA only offers its benefits to a Part-141 school. However, Active Duty personnel can request to use Credentialing Assistance Tuition which allows up to $4,000 per calendar year. We are PENDING approval from ArmyIgnited.

No. Flight instructors and rental pilots can fly anytime. You need to schedule through our office to find a schedule that suits your needs.

Yes! We are looking for CFIs and CFIIs.

No. Carolina Aviation is pay-as-you-go. We do have an incentive for deposits, however. If you deposit with us $1,000 or more, you get a an additional 5% credit added to your account.
